It was the movie industry’s biggest night yesterday and the stars did not disappoint. Big gowns met bold lashes at last night’s 91st Academy Awards, and it was HARD to choose favourites. But we did anyways! Check out our top lash looks of the night!
The Crazy Rich Asians star went with what was very possibly our favourite gown of the night (a fluffy pink Valentino confection), but what sold us was her gorgeous head. Specifically, the styling of it. With such a big gown, keeping the hair up was a smart choice, but it also served to highlight an ultra-precise cat eye set off by the perfect spiky, textured lash set.
Fashion’s next “It” girl (and Louis Vuitton muse) Laura Harrier brought the 80s to the red carpet — with a touch of glam. We’re seeing blue eyeshadow back on the runway, and Laura’s been taking notes. Her periwinkle lids and berry lips complemented a full lash line made up of shorter curls that was right on trend.
Bohemian Rhapsody’s Lucy Boynton has been making her way through awards season with two trademarks: looking extra glamorous in an icy blonde bob, and rocking ultra-long, feathery lashes. Her Twiggy-esque set was no different at the Oscars, and went flawlessly with peachy-pink lids, cheeks, and lips for the perfect ingenue look.
Danai Gurira’s lashes have had us fangirling all awards season, and it didn’t stop last night either. Always favouring a very long, very full set, Danai brought the glam to the red carpet with gilded beauty. Gold lids and skin matched her dress and accessories, proving that styling yourself after the Oscar statuette is still a classic look whether you win or not.
With a choppy bob, glam diamond earrings, and crisp, perfectly-fitted white gown, there was only one way to describe the incredible If Beale Street Could Talk star - and Oscar winner - Regina King: S H A R P. And setting off her slick look was the sultriest lashes on the red carpet, complete with the perfect cat eye styling.
J.Lo always brings the HEAT. If you can tear your eyes away from her incredible mirrored gown to check out her lashes, you’ll be well-rewarded: they’re the definition of red carpet glam — exactly what you'd expect from a bonafide A-lister like her. Metallic terra-cotta lids frame a smoky eye that's set off by thick, movie star lashes in a cat eye styling.
