Top Lash Looks — American Music Awards
Last night’s American Music Awards brought out a constellation of stars in stellar outfits, hair, makeup — and lashes! Today, we dissect some of our fave lash looks:

T-Swift opened strong at the AMAs this year — and we’re not even talking about her performance. The pop diva threw a modern metallic twist on the 60s vibe she was channelling with her go-go era mini bouffant and cat eye. Taylor’s lashes are on full volume, and paired with that exaggerated black liner, it’s enough to make Brigitte Bardot proud.

Vanessa Hudgens went for the “Pretty in Pink” look at the AMAs last night, with pops of shimmery peach on her lips and eyelids on a base of dewy skin. But the standout feature is her eyes — with longer, fuller lashes framing the outer corners, Vanessa rocks the sultry look.

Halsey took the phrase “reaching for the stars” literally and applied it boldly to her incredible lashes. She was a makeup vision in pinks and purples, from rose-coloured hair and lips to pale lilac eyeshadow, but it’s those extra-long, feathery lashes that go the distance (pun totally intended) to create that doe-eyed look.

No surprise that Cardi B had one of the boldest looks of the night - what else would suit her larger-than-life personality? We’re getting major Carmen Miranda vibes from her scarlet lips and amazing oversize floral headpiece, but it’s her killer red/sunset statement eyes with those incredible spiky stiletto lashes that steal the show.

No one does sexy better than Ms. Lopez herself and the AMAs were no exception. From the tousled hair to the sultry smokey eye to the iconic nude lip, Jennifer Lopez served us a masterclass on how to sizzle. And just like she has for decades, J.Lo showed everyone how to set the look off perfectly: thick, voluminous, black lashes for days.

Resident cool kid Amandla Stenberg’s AMA look hit all the right notes. She wisely kept her lashes natural and understated to show off that unique take on the cat eye (notice that she chose to line out the bottom lid and extend it out to create a feline shape). On a night where most of the stars went big on makeup, it makes for a look that’s as subtle as it is suave.
